Product Introduction
Sheet metal stamping parts refer to components obtained by applying pressure to metal sheets using stamping equipment (such as presses) and molds, causing the sheet to undergo plastic deformation or separation to achieve parts with specific shapes, sizes, and properties. It is one of the main methods of metal plastic processing, characterized by high efficiency, low cost, high precision, and good consistency, playing an important role in industrial production.
The commonly used materials for sheet metal stamping parts are rich and diverse. Besides the common cold-rolled steel sheets, hot-rolled steel sheets, stainless steel sheets, and aluminum sheets, there are also copper sheets, titanium alloy sheets, and others. Cold-rolled steel sheets are widely used in automotive body panels, electrical enclosures, etc., due to their good stamping performance and surface quality; stainless steel sheets, with excellent corrosion resistance and strength, are often used in medical instruments, kitchenware, etc.; aluminum sheets are lightweight and have good electrical and thermal conductivity, making them prominent in aerospace, electronics, and communications fields; copper sheets, due to their outstanding electrical conductivity, are mostly used in electrical connectors and similar applications.
The processing technology mainly includes two categories: separation processes and forming processes. The separation process involves separating the stamped part from the sheet along a certain contour line while ensuring the quality requirements of the separation surface. Common methods include punching, blanking, and cutting. For example, blanking is the process of punching out blanks with specific shapes from the sheet, which serve as stamped parts or blanks for further processing; punching involves creating various shaped holes in the sheet. The forming process causes the sheet to undergo plastic deformation without cracking, forming the required shape and size. Main forming methods include bending, deep drawing, expansion, and flanging. Bending is similar to sheet metal bending, where the sheet is bent to a certain angle and curvature; deep drawing transforms flat blanks into hollow open parts, such as automobile fuel tanks and beverage cans, which are made through deep drawing.
The application fields of sheet metal stamping parts are extremely wide. In the automotive industry, most body panels such as doors, hoods, roofs, fenders, as well as many structural parts on the frame and chassis, are stamped parts. Stamped parts can account for 50% to 70% of a vehicle; in the electronics and electrical industry, various switch and socket housings, silicon steel sheets for motors, and core components like evaporators and condensers in refrigerators and air conditioners are also mostly stamped parts; in aerospace, key structural parts such as aircraft fuselage skins and wing frames rely on high-precision stamping processes; additionally, sheet metal stamping parts are widely used in medical instruments, hardware tools, daily necessities, and other industries.
